CLEAR Plus members can downgrade their membership at any time. Those who cancel their membership with greater than 30 days remaining on their current term will receive a prorated refund for any time remaining. CLEAR Plus members on a trial will not be charged as long as they cancel before the last day of their trial.

CLEAR Plus is a faster way to verify your identity so you don't have to wait in crowded lines, while TSA PreCheck® expedites the physical screening process so you can keep moving without removing shoes, laptops, belts, etc.

CLEAR Plus and TSA PreCheck® are different services that both have the same goal — helping you get through airport security quicker and with less stress.  Using them together is a great way to get to your gate faster.

Our pod still works for those with contacts or glasses. Individuals with scarring or cloudiness on the iris, such as cataracts, may experience some issues. Fortunately, CLEAR Plus can be used with your fingertips at the airport.

At participating airports, look for the CLEAR Plus Lane at TSA security checkpoints and one of our friendly CLEAR Ambassadors will greet you!

At the CLEAR pod, you'll scan your boarding pass, confirm your identity with your eyes or fingerprints, and then we'll escort you straight to standard physical screening. CLEAR can be used with TSA PreCheck® for the fastest way through airport security.

CLEAR Gift Cards cannot be combined with other promotions or preferred rates. Once the gifted time has ended, members can link their Delta SkyMiles or United MileagePlus account by logging into my.clearme.com.

While all of these services are independent of eachother, many of our members use CLEAR Plus and TSA PreCheck®  together as the fastest way through airport security.

A friendly Ambassador at any CLEAR airport location can help you update your account with a valid I.D.
Reasons you may need to update your I.D. to keep using your CLEAR Plus Membership:

• The I.D. you have on file with CLEAR has expired
• From the time you enroll in CLEAR, TSA requires re-verification of government issued I.D. cards or US passports every 5 years in order to keep your membership up to date.
• TSA will require a REAL ID for all airline travelers starting in May 2025.

To avoid updating your I.D. again in May 2025, please use a REAL ID or US Passport. If you don’t have a REAL ID yet, here’s a list of I.D.s we currently accept:

• US Driver's License
• US Passport or US Passport Card
• US-Issued Permanent Resident Card
• US State Issued ID
• US Military ID
• Global Entry Card

Individuals 18 years of age and older can enroll in CLEAR Plus. To enroll must have one of the following forms of photo identification:

• US Driver's License
• US Passport or US Passport Card
• US-Issued Permanent Resident Card
• US State Issued ID
• Global Entry Card

All forms of identification must be valid, unexpired, not amended, and have a photo.

Children under 18 can use the CLEAR Lane for free when accompanied by a CLEAR member, no enrollment needed.

You can upgrade at the airport or online. To get started online:

2. On your next visit to a CLEAR airport location, complete your enrollment process in-person and enjoy breezing through airport security. No reservation required!
